What they do in the office
Karl helps our Clients create successful marketing strategies… and makes sure everyone pays their bills on time. As the Director of Operations, he leads client service, Project Management, finance/accounting, and recruiting.
Karl joined Coalmarch in 2010 but he’s been in interactive marketing since 1997. His industry experience includes financial services, social services, technology, and tourism. Karl graduated from the College of William & Mary in Virginia with a BBA in Operations and Information Systems and a minor in history.
After years away from the Mac OS, we’ve brought Karl back from the dark side. He takes detailed notes that would put a court reporter to shame and he keeps us on our toes with his dry sense of humor.

Karl enjoys candlelit dinners and long walks on the beach. He volunteers as a bartender on board a 1930s Pullman railroad car. When he’s not mixing martinis at 79 miles an hour, Karl enjoys hiking, reading, and cooking. He grew up in a log cabin 15 miles from the White House and he publishes a marketing blog.
