CE Elements
Representing the finest data anywhere… yours.
When our customers think of CoalEngine™, it’s not the snazzy user interface or the fantastic performance that comes to mind. It’s the fact that there are limitless possibilities available for storing information and presenting it through CoalEngine™ to their Web Site using Elements.
When we wrote the first version of CoalEngine™ nearly five years ago, we wanted to call these “blocks of data” something simple, something… elemental. Elements represent the content of your web site in manageable chunks. Elements are templates used to display your information in reliable and browser compatible ways.
Let’s say you’re a vacuum cleaner salesperson. You want to release a new model of your vacuum to the public on your web site. Using a custom-built “Vacuum” element you would enter the information that describes your new vacuum cleaner to a “T” into the element form within CoalEngine™. The designer would then create a template and the associated CSS code to display the instance of your Vacuum Cleaner element in just the right way to set-off the “suction power” and “bag capacity” that makes your product so insanely great.
There are no limits to what you can do with your Elements. We’re constantly surprised with what our clients come up with.
