What’s Gnu?

While I was shopping at Target a couple of weeks ago, an interesting board game caught my eye: What’s Gnu?. The connotation it brought to my mind was from an unusual source, at least considering the fact I was standing in the toy section. Coincidence? Seems unlikely, but this internet detective could make no definitive connection.
