ACC Sports Journal Case Study

www.accsports.com

Assignment

When David Glenn of the ACC Sports Journal approached us regarding the redesign and development of accsports.com, we knew right away it was a project that we could not only do, but really enjoy doing it. The existing website for accsports.com suffered from a lack of professional Graphic Design, a completely inefficient Content Management strategy, and no built in tools to help them automate their business model.

Project Scope

The solution that Coalmarch Productions came up with was a complete rebranding of ACC Sports. Since the venture was under new management we wanted to put a fresh face on it to reflect the change in ownership. After the brand was developed we moved on to the website. The goals of the website were user friendliness, a professional look and feel, online subscriptions and E-Commerce, multi user contributors, and premium, paid content.

Result

CoalEngine Enterprise was an obvious and perfect fit for the new ACC Sports website. Having established a new identity, complete with color scheme, our team of designers went to work on a brand new user interface that would put accsports.com on par with any sports News website on the web. Coalmarch then integrated the design onto CoalEngine, our Content Management System. We imported all legacy data, including articles and users from the previous website, set up CoalSpeak to allow multiple users and contributors to the site, and included our online Advertising compontent, CoalClick, as well.

Now the editors of accsports.com can add content to the site themselves, without having to rely on anyone else. They also easily manage their users, advertisers, and contributing authors, all through CoalEngine Enterprise.
