Unlimited Itunes

Netflix offers movies for an unlimited time, and depending on subscription level, a nearly limitless number of movies. Why then is it such a stretch that apple might strike up a deal to offer unlimited itunes with a one time subscription rate? Even take the step further by offering different levels of subscription that determines how many downloads are offered for different rates.
Let’s face it, information technology exists, and in the know folks are trading music on many levels. Just because p2p file sharing sights have been shut down, there is no reason to believe that music, movies, and more are not shared amongst the masses and their friends.
Artists, celebrities, sports figures are all paid handsome sums for their endorsements, so the real victim here is the record labels.(Record?) It might be time for them to reinvent themselves for new technology so that they are not so dependent upon product sales, products that are reaching extinction. If they can’t, then why are we still supporting them? They will eventually go the way of cassette tapes if they don’t step up.
I have no particular dislike for record labels, but the execs there need to look at the future of information and media and find a way to jump on board. If they open up just a bit, they are likely to find a wealth of helpful hackers ready and willing to show them how to make money without all the overhead of making plastic.
