Software Developer
What they do in the office
Besides Jon’s general awesomeness, he’s wicked good at debugging and repairing strange problems like character encoding, web printing and all the other quirks we encounter. He also implements other custom programming requests and takes guff from the rest of us with a great deal of grace. The thing is, Jon knows he’s valuable with his ability to create API toolkits for SOAP web services and to perform W3C validation, fixing all errors to make sure we always have our best foot forward. That’s why Jon just cozies up in his comfy coat and listens to some trance and Jonathan Coulton on iTunes and blocks the nerf battles and other distractions out.
What they do out of the office
When Jon is out of the office the nice guy facade drops. He becomes a Dance Dance Revolution revolutionary and has level 70 Warrior and level 70 Hunter on WoW. And if that wasn’t enough to impress the masses, he keeps up to date on the latest slashdot news to make sure he’s keen on everything worth talking about. Any other down time he has is taken up by investigating new technologies and creating small programs for fun and assembling computers from parts. He’s so crafty.
